Thordon Bearings
If you have an application that requires an abrasive resistant bearing or liner, Thordon has you covered! |
Pump Bearings
Thordon Bearings designs and manufactures a complete line of grease and oil-free vertical pump bearings. Thordon produces several water or
medium lubricated bearing grades which offer specific operating advantages in any pump bearing application. Thordon XL is for water-lubricated applications with
limited dry running. Thordon SXL is the preferred choice for dry start-up operation, with the lowest coefficient of friction, and excellent wear life and abrasion
resistance. Thordon Composite bearings are specially formulated to provide outstanding wear life in abrasive operating conditions. ThorPlas pump bearings can be
used for dry start ups, in temperatures up to 80°C (176°F) and offer improved chemical resistance versus other Thordon grades.

Wicket Gate/Linkage/Operating Bearings
- Self-lubricating to ensure performance in limited-motion applications
- No galling from edge loading caused by minor misalignments or gate deflections
- Can be machined on site to accommodate dimensional inconsistencies and avoid replacement parts
- Quick stock and custom delivery to meet demanding rehabilitation schedules
Thordon offers two choices for use in wicket gate and linkage bearing system applications depending on size and pressure.

Torsional Control Products

Torsional Vibration Couplings
and Torque Limiting Coupling
When dependability and performance are a requirement, Torsion Control Products’ Spring Couplings are designed to meet your needs. |
These devices offer the following advantages in most applications:
Torsional vibration isolation
Resonance isolation
Overload and shock load protection
Noise attenuation
Improved bearing/gear life
Increased system durability |
Advantages of using Torsion Control Products' Spring Couplings:
All steel construction for long life
Lubricated and non-lubricated environments
Low rate/long life couplings
Temperature extremes do not affect performance or durability
Performance can be optimized for a given application
Multistage stiffness for optimized system tuning
Controlled coulomb damping
Drop-in replacement for original drive plates, no spacers required
Integral shaft support capability eliminates the need for additional bearing support

Deublin Precision Rotating Unions

Precision Rotating Unions
Deublin Company is the leading manufacturer of Rotating Unions - a mechanical device that allows transfer of pressurized fluid from a stationary source into rotating machinery for heating, cooling or transfer of fluid power.
Rotating Union applications include Air Clutches, Gear Boxes, Machine Tool Spindles, Textile Equipment, Rubber & Plastic Manufacturing Machinery, Steel Continuous Casting Machines and Paper Machine Calender stacks. In 1989, Deublin product line was expanded to include Steam Joints and Siphon Systems for Paper Machine Dryer Cans.
|
Advantages of Deublin Rotating unions, to name just a few:
- Built with Precision. Deublin Rotary Union’s seals are exactly mated giving this rotary union a sealed, smooth, easy rotation.
- Balanced Mechanical Seals. The seal face contact pressure is kept to a minimum. REDUCING WEAR! LONGER SEAL LIFE!
- Extended Life Sealing (E.L.S.). Pioneered by Deublin E.L.S. ensures performance under the harshest of conditions.E.L.S. technology can extend the life 2-4 times over that of the competition.
- Parts Availability. Deublin Rotary Unions are REBUILDABLE Parts are readily available around the WORLD.
|
Because of Deublin’s extensive “cross-referencing” cataloging system, in most applications, Deublin Rotary Unions can easily replace the competition. |
Island City Dynamic Heat Generators

Heating through hydrodynamics with Island Citys Dynamic Heat Generators which are mechanically driven units that produce heat through fluid shearing.
Island City LLC has a diverse product range, offering clutches, tire pressure management systems, diesel-powered firefighting equipment and other technologies for a wide range of specialty vehicle and military applications. But the company's flagship is its Dynamic Heat Generator (DHG) products primarily used to heat and maintain diesel engine temperatures in cold-weather conditions.
The operating principles behind the DHG are simple. A shaft with a centrally mounted rotor supported by bearings on each end, is driven by a rotary input, which can be an engine PTO, an electric motor, a hydraulic drive or even a belt-drive system. The shaft spins one or two rotors within a fluid-filled housing. That motion imparts a centrifugal and spiraling motion to the fluid. This results in circulation that causes fluid friction, creating heat directly in the fluid, generating fluid temperatures up to 250 degrees ranging from 125,000 btu/hr to 1.145 million btu/hr in a device that ranges from 5"-12" in diameter and 11"-12" long depending on Btu heat capacity.
Models range from standard to extra heavy-duty depending on the operating environment.
