Mill Log

April 9, 2010
Dear Friends in the Industry:
Springtime is upon us! Growing up and living here in Oregon, I have come to enjoy the four seasons that we have here and always look forward to the next season with anticipation. Springtime has always been one of my favorites. The renewing of life among the vegetation, from generally a very long wet winter, is a welcome site. The trees and flowers blooming also signals to me that it is car-racing season, which is something that many of us here at Mill Log Equipment have come to enjoy over the years. We have some fine circle track racers among our ranks and I always enjoy working the pits on Saturday night as we take the checkered flag.

I think the renewing of the vegetation that is occurring this spring really signifies the renewing of business life for all of us. For many it has been a “long wet winter” and it appears that winter is finally behind us and spring is here, with the general business climate showing signs of life. For the Mill Log Group of Companies, we have been very fortunate to have the business that has come our way over the past year. Whether we were rebuilding a large Torque Converter for a power company or providing a small power take-off to a farmer who is getting his soil ready to plant this spring, we like you, are grateful for the business that has come our way during this “slow” time. We are very much looking forward to a more stable business climate.

I would like to take a moment and welcome two new service dealers to the Mill Log family:
British Columbia, Canada – Independent Diesel Sales, Ltd.
Ryazan, Russia – T.D.S. Power Units Ltd.

Your eyes are not deceiving you. Mill Log Equipment is now the Twin Disc Distributor for Russia and we have brought T.D.S. Power Units Ltd. on board to assist us in supporting the Twin Disc product operating in the region. The contact information for these service dealers, as well as the other Mill Log Equipment Service Dealers can be located at www.milllog.com/contact.

Lastly, as we have done in the past, we will be holding a drawing for a Mill Log/Twin Disc jacket at the end of this month. To enter just complete our short survey at www.milllog.com/survey. At the end of the month, we will gather all of the new names and conduct a drawing for the winner. The recipients last quarter were Tim Fogle of Six States and Paul Kruse of Island Tug & Barge.

Thank you for your continued business and loyalty to Mill Log Equipment. If you have a need for Parts and/or Service for your Power Transmission Components, please do not hesitate to call any of our field service offices.

Sincerely,
Dennis Hoff
President
Mill Log Equipment Co., Inc.
